IAM roles for EKS service accounts (IRSA)

IAM roles for EKS service accounts (IRSA)

12 May 2025

The Utoolity team is pleased to present our latest Data Center app releases that add support for providing AWS security credentials via IAM role for EKS service accounts (IRSA).

If you have provisioned your Atlassian workloads on the Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), you can now enable the IAM role for EKS service accounts credentials provider to benefit from the convenience and flexibility of providing temporary AWS security credentials via IAM roles for service accounts, refer to each app's release notes for details:

Parallel major release branches

The substantial Atlassian Data Center Platform 7 changes require us maintaining parallel major release branches for Jira 10 / 9 and Bamboo 10 / 9 until the Jira 9 and Bamboo 9 releases reach their End of Support (EOS) dates, refer to https://confluence.atlassian.com/support/atlassian-end-of-support-policy-201851003.html for details.
