Installing Identity Federation for AWS

Identity Federation for AWS can be installed and upgraded like any other regular add-on via the Universal Plugin Manager (UPM) (see Managing Add-ons for details):

  1. Log into your Atlassian product instance as an administrator.
  2. Go to Administration > Add-ons.
    The Manage add-ons screen loads.
  3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
  4. Locate Identity Federation for AWS via search.
    The appropriate add-on version appears in the search results.
  5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Identity Federation for AWS.
    You'll be prompted to log into My Atlassian if you're logged out. Identity Federation for AWS begins to download.
  6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to My Atlassian.
  7. Click Apply license.
    If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your Atlassian product instance.


Configuring access to AWS Resources

In order to enable access to AWS Resources, you need to configure at least one IAM user (account) once the add-on is installed – refer to Configuring an AWS Connector for details.
