Use the AWS Resources blueprint to provide dashboards to share and document your AWS resources with deep links and optional single sign-on (SSO) to the AWS Management Console.

Usage

To use the AWS Resources blueprint for the creation of dashboards with single sign-on (SSO) links:

  1. (Optional) Configure a new AWS Connector with a Principal Type of Assume Role or Federated User (other principal types do not support SSO)

  2. Choose Create from template in the Confluence header

  3. Select the AWS Resources blueprint and click Next

  4. Select one of the available page templates:

    • AWS resources – Share deep links with optional SSO to AWS resources with your team

    • AWS account – Document an AWS account and provide SSO links for your team

  5. Select one of the available AWS Connectors and click Next

    1. (Conditional) For the AWS account page template, specify either the ID or alias of the AWS account you are about to document

  6. (Optional) Tailor the created example page for your use case by adjusting, adding or deleting AWS Resources macros

  7. Publish the page

To access the AWS Management Console via SSO, click on any of the resulting deep links to AWS services and resources.

AWS account session affinity

The AWS Management Console is session aware and will prompt you to log out of the current account first, if you click on a link that targets a different account. In order to access different AWS accounts at the same time, you need to access the AWS Management Console from independent browser sessions, for example via the common 'incognito' or 'private' browser windows.
