What is the relation between Tasks for AWS (Bamboo) and the Bamboo AWS Plugin?

Tasks for AWS (Bamboo) 2.x is the commercially supported successor of the deprecated Bamboo AWS Plugin 1.x (which will remain available in maintenance mode only, see my answer to Will the Bamboo AWS Plugin remain available? for details) - this transition enables us to sustain our established support level and add new features and improvements more frequently going forward (e.g., Tasks for AWS 2.1 introduced a task for Amazon S3, and Tasks for AWS 2.2 introduced tasks for AWS Elastic Beanstalk).
